Chattanooga Tree Pros exists because the first hour after a tree problem is the worst time to be reading sales pages. This site puts the Chattanooga-specific facts up front — what tree work actually costs here, what the City’s tree ordinance does and doesn’t cover, how to check a crew’s insurance — and then connects you with an independent local tree company.

What we are

A referral service, not a tree company. We don’t remove, trim or climb trees and we don’t employ crews; we connect you with independent, third-party Chattanooga tree companies and they do the work under their own name, insurance and pricing. Before you hire anyone we send you — or anyone else — ask for proof of liability and workers’ compensation insurance and check whether the job size requires a Tennessee contractor licence. How the information on this site is sourced

Every price range names its source and the date it was checked, and every dollar figure on the site is drawn from one list so the numbers never disagree from page to page. As of October 25, 2026 no Chattanooga tree company publishes price ranges — we read the ones that claim to — so the figures are national cost guides (HomeGuide, Angi, HomeAdvisor), labelled as such and shown side by side, plus the City's own fee schedule read from the ordinance. Figures are rechecked at least every six months; the cost guide prints the method and the recheck date.

Every rule links to the agency's own page or the statute, read in full, not summarized from a blog: the Chattanooga Tree Ordinance (City Code ch. 32, art. XIII, adopted April 2025) in the City's code library; the City's permit pages; EPB's vegetation-management page; the Tennessee contractor-licensing statute and the Board's licence page; and the Tennessee Supreme Court's opinion in Lane v. W.J. Curry & Sons. Where a question can't be closed from a primary source — a public contractor-registry list the ordinance promises but the City hasn't published, the other Hamilton County towns' tree codes — the page says so rather than guessing, and points you to the office that can answer.

The company list describes real local businesses only from what their own websites say, with no star ratings we can't verify and no ranking. Nothing on this site is a testimonial, and no page claims work "we" did, because we do none.
